Tiddly Cove Yacht Club is one of the most affordable yacht clubs in the greater Vancouver area!
A yearly couples membership is a very reasonable $210.00. That's only $17.50 a month. A single membership is $155.00 per year.
At Tiddly Cove Yacht Club, we are always looking to meet new sailors, whether you are interested in our racing, cruising or social programs of the club. Our members range from complete beginners to some of Vancouver’s most competitive and accomplished sailors.
TCYC produces a year-round racing program, ranging from easy, beginner/family-oriented summer afternoon races to major VARC events. Some of the best racers in Vancouver are TCYC members; learn from them, crew on their boats, invite them on your boat to show you the ropes. Usually two or three of our monthly lectures, annually, deal with racing issues, ranging from sail trim, race tactics etc.
It is the rules! In order to race in BC, you must be a member of a yacht club, which automatically makes you a member of CYA.
|By necessity (weather!) the cruising program is not as structured as our racing program. Rather, we use our blog and e-mail lists to organise quickly, with a few days’ notice. We always manage at least one raft-up, one BBQ and two or three group weekend cruises. At least two or three of our monthly lectures are also dedicated to cruising. From Blue water voyages around Cape Horn to the best five-day destinations in Desolation sound, our resident experts and invited guests are always willing to share their experiences.||
TCYC’s official headquarters is the Vancouver Maritime Museum. Our unofficial meeting room: the various pubs of False Creek!
On the third Thursday of every month (except summer months) we meet at the Maritime Museum to exchange news, drink, eat and listen to our lecturer of the month. Topics range from racing, to cruising, to boat maintenance and repair..
On the remaining Thursday nights, we can be found at Sammy J Pepper’s, or the Cat’s Meow, or Stamp’s Landing
