Looks like our first monthly speaker for 2008 will be an all-time-favourite.

LeSourireCaldera - Deception Island

It is a Power Point Presentation by Dr Susan O'Reilly on her month cruising the Antarctic Peninsula from Puerto Williams in Chile on a sixty foot foot sailboat in January 2007.

Rounding Cape Horn! The Horn!

It is a fascinating talk and it reveals the Antarctic and it's problems and majesty in ways that few of us will be able to actually experience, unless we are either very lucky or very determined.
