Some of the best racers in Vancouver are TCYC members; learn from them, crew on their boats, invite them on your boat to show you the ropes. Usually two or three of our monthly lectures, annually, deal with racing issues, ranging from sail trim, race tactics etc. It is the rules! In order to race in BC, you must be a member of a yacht club, which automatically makes you a member of CYA. |
Rather, we use our blog and e-mail lists to oraganise quickly, with a few days' notice. We always manage at least one raft-up, one BBQ and two or three group weekend cruises. Check out the most recent cruising anthology in the photo galleries At least two or three of our monthly lectures are also dedicated to cruising. From Blue water voyages around Cape Horn to the best five-day destinations in Desolation sound, our resident experts and invited guests are always willing to share their experiences. |
On the third Thursday of every month (except summer months) we meet a tthe Maritime Museum to exchange news, drink, eat and listen to our lecturer of the month. Topics range from racing, to cruising, to boat maintenance and repair.. On the remaining Thursday nights, we can be found at Sammy J Pepper's, or the Cat's Meow, or Stamp's Landing or.. just check our Facebook Group! |
