Gord Wylie
This year for putting Rhumb Line's racing sponsor Richmond Savings 'on
the hook', so as to speak, for a quantity of fishing tackle which mysteriously
detached itself from a fishing boat and attached itself to Rhumb Line
during the Fraser Lightship Race. And for a most 'creative' spinnaker
takedown and mark rounding that vaulted Gord through the lifelines and
back, forcing the RVYC Dignitaries Boat, out for an evening cruise in
honour of Prince Andrew's visit, to change course rather abruptly to avoid
a close encounter of the third kind!

TCYC 30th Anniversary
Well in true Tiddly fashion, our history seems confused and strongly
resembles the proverbial caucus race of Lewis Carroll fame!
· We have elected 30 commodores;
· We celebrated our 20th anniversary in 1994;
· We celebrated our 25th anniversary in 1999;
· We have a charter that was issued by the Registrar of Societies
in April 1977;
· We have a letter recording the establishment of the club in July
1975 and,
· We have a first commodore who was elected for the 1974 -1975
year.
Trevor Jenkins thinks the club was started in the fall of 1974 whilst
the original members were still part of Burrard Yacht Club.
Stay tuned for more information on when and how we'll celebrate.
